- Encourage research and advancement of composting and organic recycling in the private and public sectors

- Provide information to members and the public to assist in the advancement and professionalism of the industry through education and training programs

- Promote the economic development of the industry and promote environmentally acceptable composting practices

- Promote the production of high quality compost through the establishment of industry standards

- Join together individuals, businesses, and government agency representatives to facilitate the exchange of information relating to the composting and organic recycling industry
